Volleyball Recap: Lexington Golden Bears vs. Central Wildcats
Lexington lost against Central back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Golden Bears took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats.
While Lexington had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-20.
Brenlee White paced Lexington's offense, picking up four kills. White got some help from Katelyn Sullivan and her 12 assists.
Leading Central to victory were Caroline Butler and Anna Neal. Butler had 11 assists and eight digs, while Neal had nine digs and two assists. That's the most digs Butler has posted over her last eight matchups.
Lexington's loss dropped their record down to 19-18. As for Central, they pushed their record up to 29-8 with the victory, which was their 28th straight at home dating back to last season.
Coming up, Lexington will take on Lauderdale County at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Central, they will square off against Lindsay Lane Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
