Baseball Recap: Leroy Bears vs. Sweet Water Bulldogs
With a playoff game on the line, Leroy rose to the challenge on Friday. They came out on top against the Sweet Water Bulldogs by a score of 8-3. The victory was nothing new for Leroy as they're now sitting on three straight.
Brayden Huebner made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out nine batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. Huebner was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played.
In other batting news, Rylon Moore was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Rob Moseley, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.
Leroy has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 22-12 record this season. As for Sweet Water, their loss dropped their record down to 16-13.
