Football Recap: Toledo Comes Up Short + How To Watch

If Toledo was riding high fresh off their 46-16 takedown of Monroe last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Boomers were outmatched by the Lowell Devils and fell 54-18. The Boomers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Devils from their previous meeting back in October of 2023.

Despite the loss, Toledo had strong showings from Evan Putnam, who threw for 142 yards and a pair of TDs, and Deshawn Pfaffle, who picked up 82 receiving yards.

Toledo dropped their record down to 1-3 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Lowell, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

Looking ahead, Toledo will host St. Paul at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lowell, they will head out on the road to challenge Harrisburg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Devils will need to watch out since the Eagles have now posted at least 31 points in their last three contests.
