Riverdale Baptist has gone 9-1 against Avalon recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Crusaders are taking a road trip to square off against the Black Knights at 4:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Riverdale Baptist is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Georgetown Prep just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 12-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Little Hoyas.

DIXON MONK was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. He also put up a triple, which was his first of the season. JAYDEN JOHNSON was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Avalon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 5-2 to NOVA HomeSchool.

Avalon saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ethan Stepanik, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Riverdale Baptist's record now sits at 9-4. As for Avalon, their record is now 2-9.

Riverdale Baptist skirted past Avalon 7-5 in their previous matchup two weeks ago. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Crusaders since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
