Baseball Recap: Hickman Comes Up Short

If Hickman was riding high fresh off their 8-0 takedown of Helias on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Kewpies fell 6-3 to the Crusaders on Wednesday. The Kewpies were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Crusaders earlier this season, when they won 8-0.

Hickman has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-17 record this season. As for Helias, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-11.

Hickman didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 7-1 win against Springfield Catholic on the 10th. As for Helias, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Jefferson City at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
