Soccer Recap: Palatine Comes Up Short

Palatine came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 4-1 to the Barrington Fillies/Broncos. While losing is never fun, Palatine can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 96th, while Barrington are ranked 11th).

Palatine's goal came courtesy of Jocelyn Bonilla, who's now up to six this season.

Palatine's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4-2. As for Barrington, their win bumped their record up to 12-1-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Palatine will take on rival Fremd at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Barrington is set to challenge their familiar foe Schaumburg at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
