St. Patrick had to kick off their season on the road on Monday, but they showed no ill effects. They had just enough and edged out the Niles North Vikings 6-5. The Shamrocks haven't had any issues with the Vikings recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.
Aiden David made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). David was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one home run and one stolen base.
