Baseball Recap: Lincoln Comes Up Short

Lincoln extended their losing streak to nine on Wednesday, dropping their season record down to 4-9 in the process. They lost 12-6 to the Pickerington North Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 18-11 on Monday.

Michael Barker was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That home run was his first of the season. Jack Baker was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

As for Pickerington North, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-6. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won six games by six runs or more so far this season.

On Pickerington North's side, the team relied heavily on Nolan Sanders, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Sanders has become a key player for the Panthers: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 4-6 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Myles Crockett, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
