Lipan is 9-1 against De Leon since December of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Lipan Indians will look to defend their home court against the De Leon Bearcats at 7:30 p.m. Lipan is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.

Last Tuesday, Lipan didn't have too much trouble with Graford as they won 50-36. Given the Indians' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 211th, while the Rabbits are ranked 493rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, De Leon was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 40-36 to Poolville. The Bearcats have struggled against the Monarchs recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Lipan's victory bumped their record up to 14-5. As for De Leon, their loss dropped their record down to 5-9.

Everything came up roses for Lipan against De Leon in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, as the squad secured a 56-24 win. Will Lipan repeat their success, or does De Leon have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
