Preview: Colfax Vikings vs. Fall Creek Crickets
The Colfax Vikings will head out on the road to face off against the Fall Creek Crickets at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Last Friday, Colfax was fully in charge, breezing past Glenwood City 67-11 on the road. Given Colfax's advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 106th, while Glenwood City is ranked 405th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Fall Creek waltzed into their game on Friday with nine straight wins but they left with ten. They blew past Cadott 66-32 on the road.
Colfax is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 16-7 record this season. As for Fall Creek, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-3.
Colfax was able to grind out a solid win over Fall Creek in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, winning 47-39. The rematch might be a little tougher for Colfax since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
