Recap: Lake Hornets vs. Clarkdale Bulldogs
The Lake Hornets's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their eighth straight loss. They lost to Clarkdale on the road by a decisive 65-46 margin. If Lake hoped to take revenge for the 62-47 defeat against they when the teams met, then they were left disappointed.
Clarkdale's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Cade Culpepper, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 15 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Ladonya Adams, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds.
Lake has not been sharp recently, as they've lost 13 of their last 14 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-15 record this season. As for Clarkdale, the victory got them back to even at 11-11.
Lake will be playing in front of their home fans against Scott Central at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Clarkdale, they will head out on the road to take on Bay Springs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bay Springs will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive.
