Soccer Recap: Whitehouse Comes Up Short

Whitehouse was the 2-1 winner over Hallsville when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. The Whitehouse Wildcats fell just short of the Hallsville Bobcats by a score of 2-1 on Friday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Wildcats came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 120th, while the Bobcats are ranked 399th).

Whitehouse's goal came courtesy of Carlos Renteria, who's now up to six this season.

Whitehouse's defeat dropped their record down to 10-3-6. As for Hallsville, their victory bumped their record up to 7-9.

Whitehouse wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next match, a 6-0 win against Texas on the 11th. Hallsville has also already played their next game (against Nacogdoches), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
