Basketball Recap: Hilbert Takes a Loss

Hilbert lost against Manitowoc Lutheran back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Hilbert Wolves took a blow against the Manitowoc Lutheran Lancers, falling 72-32. While losing is never fun, the Wolves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 384th, while the Lancers are ranked 170th).

This is the second loss in a row for Hilbert and nudges their season record down to 6-12. As for Manitowoc Lutheran, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hilbert will welcome St. Mary Catholic at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Manitowoc Lutheran, they will host Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
