Ty Messley made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 3-for-4. Alex Acosta was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-4.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when New Heights Christian Academy faced off against Welch on Monday. The Cougars put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 13-3 win.

New Heights Christian Academy now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Ash Grove, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Everything went Ash Grove's way against New Heights Christian Academy in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, as Ash Grove made off with a 12-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pirates since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
