Recap: Matthews Christian Academy Colts vs. Southview Christian Conquerors
The Matthews Christian Academy Colts's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They fell just short of Southview Christian by a score of 46-44. Matthews Christian Academy lost against Southview Christian in their previous head to head back in February of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 59-58 score last time.
Southview Christian had a senior duo take command as Brady Andreas scored 20 points and Dakota Farthing scored 19 points. That makes it 12 consecutive games in which Farthing has scored at least 25% of Southview Christian's points.
Matthews Christian Academy has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Southview Christian, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-7.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Abundant Life Christian Academy the next time they take the court. Southview Christian will host Abundant Life Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Matthews Christian Academy will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
