Softball Recap: Monterey Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Monterey's offense. They came up short against the Hebron Hawks on Friday, falling 7-0. The match marked the first time this year in which the Plainsmen were not able to get on the board.

Monterey's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Hebron, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-2.

Coming up, Monterey will take on Caprock at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hebron, they will face off against Boswell at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. Boswell's pitching crew has only allowed 1.8 runs per game this season, so Hebron's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
