Softball Recap: Maplesville Snags Seventh Victory in Last Nine Games

Maplesville's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Shelby County Wildcats with a sharp 13-2 victory. Considering the Red Devils have won nine matchups by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Maplesville is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-9 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.2 runs over those games. As for Shelby County, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-6.

Maplesville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Shelby County, they will venture away from home to face off against Central of Clay County on Sunday.
