With a playoff win on the line, McDowell rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They came out on top against the State College Little Lions by a score of 5-1. The win was nothing new for the Trojans as they're now sitting on five straight.

Evan Stranko spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up seven Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Mason Maciulewicz, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Owen Chylinski, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs and one stolen base.

McDowell's victory bumped their record up to 17-5. As for State College, they now have a losing record of 10-11.
