Basketball Recap: Flinthills Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Flinthills waltzed into their game on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They took down the Cedar Vale/Dexter Spartans 42-27. That's more bragging rights for the Mustangs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Despite the loss, Cedar Vale/Dexter saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Zoe Davidson dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten boards.

Flinthills' victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Cedar Vale/Dexter, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 8-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Flinthills will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Sedan at 6:00 p.m. on February 4th. Cedar Vale/Dexter has already played their next contest (against Bluestem), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
