Softball Recap: St. Catherine's Picks Up 16th Straight Win at Home

St. Catherine faced Central Virginia Homeschool Athletic Association in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Saints skirted past the Patriots 2-0. The victory was familiar territory for the Saints, who have now won ten matchups in a row.

St. Catherine's saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Izzy Viruet, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run. That triple was Viruet's first of the season.

St. Catherine's hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least four batters in three consecutive contests.

Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games.
