Perrysburg waltzed into their game on Monday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. They never let the Defiance Bulldogs get on the board and left with a 7-0 win. Considering the Yellow Jackets have won ten contests by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Tyler Palmer made a big impact no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over six innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

In other batting news, Ben Miller was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two RBI and one run. Ryan Rettig was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one double.

Perrysburg's record now sits at 15-6. As for Defiance, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Perrysburg will venture away from home to face off against Springfield at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Defiance, they will head out to challenge Ottawa-Glandorf at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Titans have averaged an impressive 6.1 runs per game this season.
