Baseball Game Preview: York County Tech Spartans vs. Biglerville Canners

York County Tech is 2-8 against Biglerville since April of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Spartans will host the Canners at 4:15 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

York County Tech came up short against Bermudian Springs on Tuesday, falling 8-2.

York County Tech saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Combs, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Brody Sterner also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Meanwhile, Biglerville lost 10-4 to Camp Hill on Thursday. The loss continues a trend for the Canners in their meetings with the Lions: they've now lost six in a row.

Aiden Hoffman made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played. Bo Forney was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI.

York County Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Biglerville, their loss dropped their record down to 4-7.
