Basketball Game Preview: Euclid Panthers vs. Brunswick Blue Devils

Euclid is 2-8 against Brunswick since December of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Euclid Panthers will look to defend their home court against the Brunswick Blue Devils at 7:30 p.m. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Last Wednesday, Euclid lost to Holy Name on the road by a 46-27 margin.

Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 24-24 at halftime, Brunswick was not quite Gilmour Academy's equal in the second half on Monday. They fell just short of the Lancers by a score of 47-45. While losing is never fun, the Blue Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 367th, while the Lancers are ranked 182nd).

Euclid's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Brunswick, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last ten matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.

Things could have been worse for Euclid, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 54-35 loss to Brunswick when the teams last played back in December of 2024.
