Basketball Recap: Farina South Central Comes Up Short

Farina South Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 17th straight loss. They fell 55-44 to the Vandalia Vandals. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 661st, while the Vandals are ranked 301st).

Farina South Central's defeat dropped their record down to 1-17. As for Vandalia, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-6.

Farina South Central wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 53-40 loss against Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg on the 16th. As for Vandalia, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 39-34 defeat against Gillespie on the 16th.
