Baseball Game Preview: Salesian Mustangs vs. Wilson Mules

The Salesian Mustangs will head out to take on the Wilson Mules at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Salesian has given up an average of 7.1 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Salesian lost 16-1 to St. Anthony on Tuesday. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Salesian saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jordan Ramirez, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Wilson got themselves on the board against Jefferson on Saturday, but Jefferson never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 9-0 margin over the Democrats. Considering the Mules have won four matches by more than six runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Wilson pushed their record up to 7-1 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average this season. As for Salesian, they now have a losing record of 5-6.
