Football Recap: Bucksport Comes Up Short at Home Against Spruce Mountain

Bucksport unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They had to suffer through a 38-8 loss at the hands of the Spruce Mountain Phoenix.

Dylan Jewett went supernova For Spruce Mountain., rushing for 183 yards and four TDs on only ten carries. Those 183 rushing yards gave Jewett a new career-high.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bucksport will take on Washington Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Golden Bucks' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
