Preview: Excel Panthers vs. Southern Choctaw Indians
The Excel Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the Southern Choctaw Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Excel is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
Excel pushed their score all the way to 39 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 46-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of W.S. Neal.
Meanwhile, Southern Choctaw never let their opponents score on Friday. They breezed by Fruitdale on the road to the tune of 46-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Southern Choctaw.
Channing Hill had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 144 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 carries. Triston Hill got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.
W.S. Neal's victory bumped their season record to 7-2 while Excel's defeat dropped theirs to 3-6.
Excel strolled past Southern Choctaw when the teams last played back in September of 2017 by a score of 38-19. Does Excel have another victory up their sleeve, or will Southern Choctaw turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
