Preview: Holdrege Dusters vs. Ogallala Indians
Holdrege has been on the road for two straight, but on Thursday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Ogallala Indians at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Friday, Holdrege made easy work of Broken Bow and carried off a 61-37 win.
Holdrege can attribute much of their success to Wyatt Pfeifer, who scored 15 points, and Garret Johnson, who scored 21 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Johnson has scored at least 25% of Holdrege's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kegan Steinke, who scored 6 points along with 8 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Ogallala really took it to Minden for the full four quarters, racking up a 71-41 victory at home. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 41-20.
The wins kept both teams' perfect 2-0 season records intact.
Holdrege came up short against Ogallala in their previous matchup back in January, falling 80-69. Will Holdrege have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other basketball content.
