Football Game Preview: Boyd County Lions vs. Greenup County Musketeers

The Boyd County Lions will square off against the Greenup County Musketeers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

On Friday, Boyd County came up short against Johnson Central and fell 21-14. The Lions haven't had much luck with the Golden Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Meanwhile, Greenup County ended up a good deal behind Blazer on Friday and lost 35-21.

Greenup County's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Boyd County, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-2.

Boyd County came up short against Greenup County in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, falling 42-37. Thankfully for the Lions, Tyson Sammons (who rushed for 248 yards and six TDs on only 15 carries, and also threw for 153 yards on only 12 passes) won't be suiting up this time.
