Basketball Recap: Mount Zion Christian Academy Continues Home Dominance on Monday

Mount Zion Christian Academy won the last time they faced Heritage Leadership Academy and things went their way on Monday too. The Mount Zion Christian Academy Mighty Warriors took down the Heritage Leadership Academy Fletchers 71-57. Given the Mighty Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 137th, while the Fletchers are ranked 491st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Despite the defeat, Heritage Leadership Academy saw an underclassman step up: freshman Jonathan Adams went 14 of 24 on his way to 30 points. Those 30 points set a new season-high mark for Adams. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Peterson, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.
