Football Recap: Lewis County Panthers vs. East Hickman County Eagles
Lewis County was the 49-7 winner over East Hickman County when they last played one another back in September of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Lewis County Panthers took a 34-16 bruising from the East Hickman County Eagles on Friday. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Although Lewis County took the loss, they still got scores from Dakota Hull and Micah Godfrey.
Matthew Sloan was nothing short of spectacular for East Hickman County: he rushed for 183 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.3 yards per carry. Sloan's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 119 rushing yards dating back to last season.
Lewis County now has a losing record at 1-2. As for East Hickman County, the win was the fifth in a row (dating back to last season) for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.
