Softball Game Preview: Northlake Christian Wolverines vs. Franklinton Demons

The Northlake Christian Wolverines are taking a road trip to square off against the Franklinton Demons at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

On Monday, Northlake Christian wound up with the same score they had in their last game (11-1), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time.

Sydney Fraher was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one triple and one run. That triple was her first of the season.

Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for Franklinton's offense. They lost 10-0 to Ponchatoula on Monday. The Demons have struggled against the Green Wave recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Franklinton's loss dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Northlake Christian, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-11.

Northlake Christian couldn't quite finish off Franklinton in their previous meeting back in March and fell 8-6. Can the Wolverines avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
