Soccer Game Preview: Skyline vs. Riverdale Ridge

It'll be a Battle of the Birds when Skyline take on Riverdale Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Riverdale Ridge will have to contend with a Skyline team hungry for a victory, something the squad hasn't seen yet this season. Skyline fell 2-0 to Timnath on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Riverdale Ridge kept a clean sheet against Silver Creek on Thursday. They came out on top against the Raptors by a score of 2-0. The result kept Riverdale Ridge happy, as they haven't lost a game since March 6th.

Molly Wilkinson and Trinity Abeyta scored both of Riverdale Ridge's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 11 goals.

Riverdale Ridge has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-1-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those five games. Skyline's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5-1.

Skyline took their victory against Riverdale Ridge when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 4-0. Will Skyline repeat their success, or does Riverdale Ridge has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
