Baseball Recap: Westside Takes a Loss

Westside fell victim to Fountain Inn and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fury. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Rams were not able to get on the board.

Westside got a good showing from Caleb Christian, who tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.

Westside is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-4. As for Fountain Inn, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season.

While Westside had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
