Soccer Game Preview: Harrison vs. Hamilton

The Harrison Wildcats will challenge the Hamilton Big Blue at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Harrison is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.2 goals per game this season.

Harrison is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another highly-ranked state team: East Central, who was ranked 14th in their home state at the time (Harrison was ranked 23rd). The Wildcats' defense stepped up to hand the Trojans a 1-0 shutout on Thursday. The victory was familiar territory for Harrison, who have now won three contests in a row.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Abby Smith, who's now up to 12 this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hamilton). Everything went their way against Mt. Healthy on Tuesday as they made off with a 10-0 win. The high-scoring effort was just what Hamilton needed considering they were shut out in their previous match.

Harrison's victory bumped their record up to 10-1-3. As for Hamilton, their win bumped their record up to 4-9-1.

Harrison took their victory against Hamilton when the teams last played back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. Will the Wildcats repeat their success, or do the Big Blue have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
