Football Game Preview: Cedar Creek Eagles vs. Lehman Lobos

The Cedar Creek Eagles are taking a road trip to take on the Lehman Lobos at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Cedar Creek hasn't scored more than 13 points for eight games straight, a trend the team is eager to reverse.

Cedar Creek's offense might be in the hot seat on Thursday considering what happened against A&M Consolidated on Friday. They had to suffer through a 49-0 loss at the hands of the Tigers. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 1002nd, while the Tigers are ranked 59th).

Meanwhile, Lehman played a tough contest on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 62-0 to Hendrickson, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Lehman's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Cedar Creek, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-8.

Cedar Creek couldn't quite finish off Lehman in their previous matchup back in November of 2024 and fell 41-38. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
