Basketball Recap: Little Axe Takes a Loss

Little Axe was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Holdenville Wolverines and fell 67-19. The Indians were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-10.

Holdenville was led to victory by Bella Smith and Dah'Myah Olden. Smith went 7-for-16 en route to 20 points, while Olden went 6-for-12 on her way to 14 points in addition to five assists and five boards. That's the most points Smith has posted since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Princess Oneill, who earned four points along with seven rebounds and four steals.

Little Axe's loss dropped their record down to 3-17. As for Holdenville, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-9.

As of now, neither Little Axe nor Holdenville have any future games scheduled.
