Basketball Recap: Parowan Comes Up Short

Parowan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a 63-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rowland Hall Winged Lions. While the Rams didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Winged Lions 19-14 in the first quarter.

Luc Dowdle continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Rowland Hall, shooting 7-for-12 from beyond the arc and almost dropping a double-double on 27 points and nine rebounds. That's the most rebounds Dowdle has posted since back in January. Another player making a difference was Ian Mellor, who posted nine points and four steals.

Parowan's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Rowland Hall, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Parowan will venture away from home to take on Millard at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Rowland Hall, they will host Utah Military Academy - Hill Field at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
