Baseball Recap: Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia Comes Up Short

Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 15-2 to the Greenfield/Northwestern Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-10 last Monday.

Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brock York, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2. York has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played. Nate Strubbe also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Greenfield/Northwestern, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season.

Coincidentally, Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia and Greenfield/Northwestern will both be playing West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs] the next time they take the field. The Trojans will host the Cougars at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Tigers will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
