Softball Recap: Storm Lake Has No Trouble Against Cherokee Washington

Storm Lake barely beat Cherokee Washington the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Tornadoes blew past the Braves 11-2 on Thursday. Considering the Tornadoes have won six matchups by more than seven runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Storm Lake pushed their record up to 10-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for Cherokee Washington, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season.

Storm Lake wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 17-2 victory against Carroll on the 13th. As for Cherokee Washington, they have also already played their next matchup, an 8-0 loss against Sioux Center on the 13th.
