After losing to Sequoia the last time they met, Burlingame decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Burlingame sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 win over Sequoia on Friday.

Dionisios Vorrises spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered four earned runs on ten hits.

At the plate, Liam Philibosian was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. Kai Watanabe also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Burlingame's victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Sequoia, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.

Looking ahead, Burlingame will head out to challenge James Logan at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Burlingame's pitchers better be ready for this one: James Logan has averaged an impressive 7.9 runs per game this season. As for Sequoia, they will head out on the road to square off against Archbishop Riordan at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Sequoia is facing Archbishop Riordan at the right time seeing as Archbishop Riordan is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
