Basketball Game Preview: Dulaney Lions vs. Pikesville Panthers

Dulaney hasn't had much luck against Pikesville recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Dulaney Lions duke it out with the Pikesville Panthers at 5:30 p.m. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Dulaney sitting on three straight wins and Pikesville on four.

Last Saturday, Dulaney didn't have too much trouble with Gerstell Academy as they won 45-31.

Meanwhile, Pikesville blew past Catonsville, posting a 60-18 victory. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 22 points or more this season.

Pikesville's win came from a few key players Dulaney will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Mariah Jones-Bey, who posted seven points in addition to ten assists and seven steals. Jones-Bey is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least three every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of NyJae Malik-El, who had nine points and six steals.

Pikesville's win was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-1. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 38.9 points. As for Dulaney, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 5-4 record this season.
