Volleyball Recap: Legacy Charter Has No Trouble Against Holy Cross Lutheran Academy

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Orlando Science, Legacy Charter was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Holy Cross Lutheran Academy Crusaders. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Legacy Charter took every set by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-15, 25-13.

Their offense was headlined by Reese Taylor and Chloe Shoemaker, who picked up six kills apiece. Shoemaker also shared the team's lead in assists with Lily Ozanic: they picked up 11 each. Presley Johnson controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Legacy Charter now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Holy Cross Lutheran Academy, they dropped their record down to 0-12 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight at home.

Looking ahead, Legacy Charter will face off against Old Plank Christian Academy at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. The Defenders will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight. As for Holy Cross Lutheran Academy, they will venture away from home to take on Liberty Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
