Basketball Recap: Hillcrest Christian Snags Seventh Victory in Last Nine Games

With a playoff win on the line, Hillcrest Christian rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They enjoyed a cozy 64-48 victory over Discovery Christian. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Cougars also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.

Jordan Johnson was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 24 points and ten rebounds. The match was his third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jaivyn Carter, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and ten boards.

Hillcrest Christian has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.6 points per game. As for Discovery Christian, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.

As of now, neither Hillcrest Christian nor Discovery Christian have any future games scheduled.
