The New Underwood Tigers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They took a 60-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of Upton. New Underwood has struggled against Upton recently, as their game on Monday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

When it comes to explaining why New Underwood lost, one person who can't be blamed is Eli Kelley. Despite the final result, he scored 16 points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Cash Albers, who scored 12 points.

New Underwood's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Upton, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. New Underwood won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Newell at 5:30 p.m. on January 23rd. As for Upton, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Hulett at 7:00 p.m.
