Volleyball Recap: Ella Cutter and Maddy Gray Secure Win for Monomoy

Monomoy won the last time they faced Rising Tide and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Sharks were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Rising Tide. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Sharks.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Monomoy was: they took every set by at least 12 points. The final score came out to 25-6, 25-9, 25-13.

Leading Monomoy to victory were Maddy Gray and Ella Cutter. Gray had 11 aces and eight kills, while Cutter had 18 assists and five aces. That's the most kills Gray has posted over her last five matches.

Monomoy's victory bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Rising Tide, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-9.

Coincidentally, Monomoy and Rising Tide will both be playing Sturgis East the next time they take the court. The Sharks will head out to face the Storm at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Rising Tide will host them at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
