Corner won the last time they faced Dora and things went their way on Friday too. The Yellow Jackets breezed past the Bulldogs to the tune of 36-6. With the Yellow Jackets ahead 29-0 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Spencer Unruh was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 167 yards and three scores while picking up 9.3 yards per carry, and also threw for 25 yards and one touchdown. He was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 60 yards. Tyson Hill did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 108 receiving yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Corner was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 218 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 181 rushing yards in nine consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

Another reason for the win was Corner's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. That dominant display was truly a team effort as four different players picked up one apiece.

Corner's victory was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0. As for Dora, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Corner and Dora will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Yellow Jackets are set to square off against their familiar foe Wenonah at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Dora will face off against rival Fayette County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
