Softball Recap: Ballard Comes Up Short

Ballard was the 3-2 winner over Lexington Catholic when they last played one another back in June of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Bruins fell 9-4 to the Knights on Thursday. The Bruins have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ballard saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Syrianna Jones, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI. Ryleah Lawrence also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Ballard's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Lexington Catholic, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-4.

Ballard has already played their next game, a 7-4 loss against Denmark on the 28th. As for Lexington Catholic, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 6-3 defeat against Lafayette on the 28th.
