Basketball Recap: Kamiah Takes a Loss

Kamiah suffered their biggest loss since January 16th on Saturday. They came up short against the Lapwai Wildcats, falling 57-36. The Kubs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wildcats earlier this season, when they won 43-42.

Despite the loss, Kamiah still got an impressive performance from Emma Krogh, who went 7 for 16 on her way to 26 points. Krogh's evening made it eight games in a row in which she has scored at least 17 points.

Madden Bisbee was her usual excellent self, putting up 17 points along with seven boards and five assists for Lapwai. Bisbee is also on a roll when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy, as she's posted one of at least 40% in the last three games she's played. Amasone George was another key player, dropping a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds.

Kamiah's defeat dropped their record down to 17-5. As for Lapwai, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 19-3 record this season.

As of now, neither Kamiah nor Lapwai have any future games scheduled.
