Phoenix Christian is a perfect 3-0 against Red Rock since March of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Cougars will head out to challenge the Scorpions at 3:45 p.m. Phoenix Christian is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 16.6 runs per game this season.

Phoenix Christian is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Joseph City just ended the team's six-game winning streak on Monday. They fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 9-7.

Brianna Guerrero led a balanced group of hitters, scoring a run and stealing four bases while going 2-for-5. The team also got some help courtesy of Hannah Fisher, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one double.

Meanwhile, Red Rock came into Thursday's contest having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They blew past Madison Highland Prep 21-5 on Thursday.

Red Rock's win bumped their record up to 2-8. As for Phoenix Christian, they suffered their first home loss, dropping their record down to 12-2.

Everything went Phoenix Christian's way against Red Rock in their previous matchup back in March, as Phoenix Christian made off with a 25-3 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
